  1. The beef brisket noodle soup at Lan’s Noodles and Dumplings is very good. The broth is almost as good as the broth at Yu’s Noodle Shop, and the brisket is much more satisfying than the ribeye you get at Yu’s. I just don’t think ribeye is the right choice for soup. Maybe I’d go back to Yu’s to try the beef shank version, though.

  2. I live in Aurora, less than 15 minutes from H-Mart. Would Pho Social be worth making the drive, comparing it to Golden Saigon (Much closer and in H-Mart’s area)?

  3. Holy cow, all but two of the noodle shops mentioned here are ones I absolutely LOVE and the two others are ones I have yet to try and will probably also love. Neko definitely has its followers but yeah, nobody I’ve talked to has heard of it lol. It’s one of my faves for ramen. Fairly simple but the broth is fantastic and the decor is amongst my favorite.
